My story is a simple one. Expect success.
I have been fortunate to learn from some of the best minds in coaching and business. In college I ran for three of the greatest coaches in the United States who together have won 29 Division III National Titles. In my professional career I have been influenced by five highly successful people who taught me basic and advanced business concepts I have used throughout my career. All eight people have the same common approach to life: build a strong foundation, expect success, have passion and conviction and evolve with the times.
My expertise is managing processes and teams by STRATEGICALLY connecting the dots between a vision or plan to the end goal.
There is not a day that goes by I do not try or learn something new. Innovation and new ways of doing business fuel my desire to continuously improve...intrinsically I am motivated by building sustainable plans and ideas always with the end users' satisfaction in mind.
Throughout my career I have been a part of or led teams to build sustainable businesses. Some key highlights and recent success are:
- Philips HeartStart Home Defibrillator - transitioning the business from an unprofitable direct-to-consumer model to a profitable e-commerce retail model
- Philips Sonicare - Target collaboration for first ever "fashion" colors which today is used throughout the entire Sonicare portfolio.
- La Lumiere - propelling illuMask light therapy mask from a scrappy start up to a full fledged brand and category at mass and beauty retailers
- Eventually being sold to Johnson & Johnson
- SVP (Singer Sewing) - Reinvigorated 165 year old brand by delivering double digit growth to both top and bottom line with a transformational change in how we went to market and brand positioning vs competition.
Winning is Not Hard If You collaborate, through thoughtful listening, gaining clarity around what is not understood, and building a plan together which delivers win-win results.
My college cross country coach Al Carius has a simple philosphy for success of Run for Fun and Personal Bests. In my life, I apply Al's philosophy in everything I do both professionally and personally with a team first approach and focus on winning together in a culture which expects success!
